First Public Presentation of the Post-War Years Gallery (2010-07-06)

The creators of the Post-War Years gallery of the Museum’s core exhibition, Dr. Helena Datner and Prof. Stanisław Krajewski, as well as the leader of the Museum Core Exhibition Development Team, Prof. Barbara Kirshenblatt-Gimblett, had the first public opportunity at the Krakow Jewish Culture Festival to talk about the gallery.

Museum Council Discusses Core Exhibition (2010-07-01)

In early July, the Museum Council became acquainted with the designs of four out of seven galleries that will make up the Museum’s future core exhibition. Three galleries and a part of another one were approved for production. A presentation of the remaining galleries will take place in October.

President of Israel Shimon Peres, who for many years has been heading the International Honorary Committee of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews, became acquainted with progress in the construction of the Museum building and expressed his hope of being able to take part in its opening two years from now.

Antony Polonsky, professor of history and eminent researcher of the history of Polish Jews, who in June 2010 was conferred the honoris causa doctorate by Warsaw University, very positively commented the work done to date on the Museum’s core exhibition.
