The long-lost multicultural mosaic of Warsaw is gradually resurging and urban life is beginning to show the signs of ethnic diversity: Vietnamese, Hindu, Pakistani, African, Ukrainian, Uzbek, Chechen and Jewish. Only during a multicultural workshop organized by the Museum is it possible to have fun, participate in an unexpected discussion and strike up friendships over a plate of humus. Concocted, elaborated, consulted and planned out – it will soon assume its ultimate shape. The project of the main exhibition has entered the subsequent stage. Ideas are becoming tangible. The first stage of this year's edition of the Polin-Webfusion project ended in early July. It produced a number of Polish-English and Hebrew-English blogs created by Polish and Israeli high school students. These blogs feature interviews with the Righteous among the Nations of the World (in Poland) and with witnesses of history now living in Israel (Polish Jews who survived the Holocaust). see more >|
